Muth’s Engineering staff has been on the cutting edge of LED Technology since 1992 when they launched an automotive mirror revolution with the first Signal® Mirror. Nearly every member of the Design Engineering staff has a Bachelor’s degree and they capably wield the tools of their trade, including: Cad software, Optical modeling software, Electrical simulation software, Vision systems, Microscopy, Photonic measurement systems, Vacuum forming, Rapid prototyping, Robotics, Physical and Electrical testing equipment, and Data analysis software.
They are skilled communicators who can present their world class designs effectively with telling graphs and images. Their vast experience has led to over 30 patents and a stable of designs that are the thinnest, lightest, brightest, and lowest cost products on the market today. The Engineering culture reaches beyond the design group as well. Manufacturing, Sales, and Executive Management all have capable leaders who got their start in Engineering. To put it simply, Engineering forms the Foundation of Muth company.
Highest Quality, Lowest Cost Innovator
Muth’s corporate objective is to be the highest quality, lowest cost innovator of Blind Spot and Signal Safety displays globally. This stems from our LED technology leadership since 1992 when Muth invented the Signal® Mirror. Then, in 2006, Muth was the Automotive PACE Awards winner for our next generation Blind Spot display technology. Muth leads this industry with dedicated LED automotive-grade engineering expertise and rapid customer service response.

Execution
Execution is an omnipresent obsession with our team. Execution is what separates our organization from other automotive suppliers. Our quick time to market and ability to rapidly innovate new products, and solve customers’ problems is a core practice. We take a longer term views in meeting customers’ demands and are not as sensitive with monetary near-term impacts. We do what’s right for the customer near-term with the thought that our team will win by the long-term relationship we have created.
Execution and quality are one and the same to us. Quality systems at Muth Mirror Systems are compliant with both ISO 9001 and TS 16949. Statistical based methodology drives the continuous improvement process and Muth’s machine/process capability. These systems are pushed upstream into our supply base to ensure high level of incoming material quality. All products produced by Muth Mirror Systems are 100% electronically verified. An advanced data base system allows for full traceability of all product and test results.
Flexibility
Automotive engineering is very rigid and strict as it needs to be for the OEMs to assemble quality products for consumers. In a typical vehicle, there are ~25,000 parts from ~3,000 global automotive certified vendors. While OEM specifications are very detailed and inflexible, Muth’s go-to-market strategy is highly flexible.
From Senior Management through Engineering and Program Management, our team is determined to think differently and offer customer outcomes that are not typical in our industry. We are the global leader in our market, and we intend to lead this innovation curve differently. Again, we are not near-term self-focused and if the customer benefits near-term, we believe we will benefit with our customers long-term.
